FSC® certified windows and doors: sustainable, guaranteed quality
In a world that is increasingly attentive to the environment, De Ninis Serramenti has chosen to distinguish itself through the FSC® – Forest Stewardship Council® certification, an internationally recognized brand that identifies wood products from responsibly managed forests. Our company has adopted an FSC Chain of Custody management system, which allows us to trace every phase of the wood material — from the forest to the finished window and door — ensuring transparency, legality and sustainability along the entire supply chain.More value for your home. More respect for the planet.
Every window and door signed by De Ninis with the FSC® brand is a conscious choice: for the comfort of your home, for the quality of the materials, for the future of the forests.
Certification - Quality System
The declared values are ensured through the maintenance of a company control system, the ISO 9001:2008 CERTIFIED QUALITY SYSTEM held by DE NINIS SERRAMENTI SRL.

REQUIREMENTS AND PERFORMANCE
Our products are designed to be used in various environments and can be exposed to different conditions, requiring them to deliver reliable performance in compliance with European directives.
These can be:
Physical conditions, caused by weather agents (water and humidity) and temperature fluctuations.
Chemical conditions, caused by pollutant atmospheric agents (smog).
Mechanical conditions, caused by the stress of wind or by impacts and vibrations.
Biological conditions, caused by molds and bacteria.
The response to the forces exerted by these factors is reflected in the performance of our products, including:

AIR PERMEABILITY
UNI EN 1026 STANDARD
It refers to the ability to limit the air infiltration when the window is closed and to regulate the air passage when the window is open. The performance value is measured through classification levels ranging from 1 to 4.
De Ninis guarantees the highest performance (Class 4) thanks to the use of high-performance materials such as laminated wood, perimeter glass sealing, multi-point locking hardware, and triple seals with high thermal and acoustic performance.
WATER TIGHTNESS
UNI EN 1027 STANDARD
It refers to the ability to prevent water infiltration during heavy rain and strong winds. The performance value is measured through classification levels.
De Ninis products guarantee the maximum Class rating depending on the type of window: Class 9A for windows, Class 5A for French doors.
RESISTANCE TO WIND LOADS
UNI EN 12211 STANDARD
It refers to the ability to resist strong pressures caused by wind, maintaining an acceptable deformation that does not compromise the initial performance.
The performance value is measured through classification levels ranging from 1 to 5. We guarantee the highest Class 5.
THERMAL TRANSMITTANCE
UNI EN 14351-1 STANDARD
It refers to the ability to limit heat loss to the outside through conduction, convection, and radiation. Window and door frames are a key component of the house, along with walls and ceilings, that contribute to providing thermal comfort. To minimize heat loss in a house, the thermal value of a window must be low.
Thermal transmittance of windows (UW) represents the weighted average of the thermal transmittance of the frame (UF) and the glass (UG). Therefore, thermal values can vary depending on the type of wood used, such as softwood (pine, fir) or hardwood (mahogany, oak), and the type of glass and its dimensions.
NOISE CONTROL – ACOUSTIC INSULATION
UNI 8204 STANDARD
It refers to the windows and doors’ ability to provide adequate attenuation of external noise. Its value is measured in Decibels and is identified by the RW symbol.
The higher the value, the better the acoustic insulation. Wood itself has excellent acoustic insulation properties, although the insulation ability of windows and doors depends heavily on the type of glass used. De Ninis windows and doors, with the use of appropriate glass and special seals, achieve acoustic values between 38-42 dB.
LOAD-BEARING CAPACITY OF SAFETY DEVICES
UNI EN 1435-1 STANDARD
It measures the ability of a window and door to ensure that security devices can withstand at least 60 seconds of force, keeping the sash in place when 350N is applied in the most unfavorable direction and position.
ANTI-BURGLARY SAFETY
UNI ENV 1627/30 STANDARD
It refers to the ability to prevent unauthorized intrusion through window break-ins.
De Ninis windows and doors, in addition to standard fittings, can achieve certified anti-burglary levels* thanks to the use of multi-point locking hardware, shatterproof security glazing, handles with a button or key, and integrated alarm contact kits. – *CR2
RELEASE OF HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCES
UNI EN 14351-1 STANDARD
It refers to the ability of the windows and doors to not release hazardous substances into the environment that could be harmful to those who come into contact with them.
